Coach Miller

It’s not an easy process for anyone. At some point, you will face challenges and adversity that are unexpected. How do you handle that environment? Can you operate in chaos? Can you make the necessary adjustments to succeed? That is my whole focus point with this website and the training I offer in person and online. We turn weakness into strength because we focus on what areas we need, to become a complete pitcher. How did I get into this? I failed over and over. Personally, I have won at every level. Won Championships in High School, Collegiate D1 Baseball, and Professional Baseball as well. The failures were lessons and things that I had to go through to understand what the move going forward was. A lot of competitive people and athletes don’t truly understand the blessing of failing. Who is going to work harder? A person who wins at ease? Or someone that is constantly being told no and hasn’t been blessed to taste or feel victory yet?

My name is Matt Miller. I have competed my entire life. Easy has not been the path, everything has been worked for and earned. I played 4 years of baseball at Eastern Illinois University where I posted a (0-10) record for my career. Most individuals would not even think of pursuing a pro career with that stat line being their shadow. I had always dreamed of playing baseball past college, so I did just that. I emailed every team in the Frontier League and gave them my information hoping that I would be able to at least get a shot to try out. A week later I was in uniform for the Traverse City Beach Bums. I played 3 seasons for the Bums and continued to work on my craft in pursuit of getting into affiliated ball for a MLB team.

I was able to get better each season and continue to grow as a player. But making it to the MLB was not in the cards for me as a player. Once I finished professional baseball, I started to look for a traditional 9:00-5:00 job so I could make a living and establish myself in the DFW area. Fortunately, I was able to start working with a few clients a week just teaching them the basics of pitching back in 2015. Since 2015, I have been blessed to work with over 150 different clients. Ranging in ages from 7- 21 years old. Consistency and hard work are the 2 main focus points for each one of my clients and those who work will always be rewarded.

Fast forward 8 years and I have organically grown an entire pitching business from just word of mouth referrals. Now, I see anywhere from 55-65 clients per week. I have been able to help develop young guys pursuing the basics of pitching as well as over 10 guys playing at the collegiate level currently with many more on their way! This is why I do what I do. Every guy I work with is unique in their own way. Not all are the same, so that has never been my approach. What works for one might harm the next guy. We find training methods and different strength & stability drills to build a  foundation for each individual. Maintaining consistent mechanics is a key focus. I have put a lot of time into creating the plans that are available through the website. They are split into 3 programs that really just depend on how hard you are willing to work to get where you want to go.

The only question necessary, are you outworking the next guy? Now you have no reason not to, I want these programs to allow guys to pick where they want to go to school. We write our story
